Poizone

This is my first song using the Poizone. I started with a nice drum loop that had a choppy fill, i then made the synth based upon the minor pentatonic scale of C. I reversed an electronic drum sound to make almost the sound of flapping wings and it really seemed to fit nicely into the beat. I modified the synth sound to have a quick attack and short resonance to portray more of a plucked sound but i also allowed it to be able to be sustained at parts.. Enjoy

SVF Filter

this beat was originally made for my demo-cd, which is the reason for it's length. When i finished, i set up an automation clip on the drums using a nice filtering effect. The synths i used were sytrus based. i threw in a hot air flute leading to a robot voice from vocoder that i manipulated to sound more like a synth that has a good attack. I boosted the bass for the drums and added a synth that sounded like a bell without any echo for the finishing touch.

Frequency Modulation

I started this project with the syntheish bassoon, the songs ongoing rhythym starts here. I then used the two synths that were modulated together to create a nice flow. I brought in my harmonically plucked synth as the simple (but necessary) treble part. The drums i used were made on FPC under hip hop and i put a lot of swing into the rhythym.

Project 4 ( XY controller )

I started this project with a slayer riff that at first i found boring but found that it fit well into what i wanted to create. I then put in the faster paced drums from FPC and then created my bass line. After i put some compression on the drums, I put some Rave Lead synth that i thought would sound good when i plugged the panning and a modifying part into the XY controller. I then recorded the automation for the controller and added another automation on the slayer riff at the end for effect.

this is a clip that i produced using the sim synth that has an automation clip set on the cut envelope. there is also an automation clip on the master volume towards the end

slayer octaves

this is a clip where i chopped the slayer guitar notes into octaves, it has a faster bass line throughtout the song.

this is my post of a track i produced on FL Studios 9. i used a more blues-styled bass guitar sound and some hip hop drums with a delayed clap sound during the drum fill.
